Effective immediately, the Alcester Insurance Agency, run by Mike and Mary Limoges, has merged efforts with Jensen Insurance & Real Estate Agency of Beresford.
“We are very excited to be working with Alcester Insurance Agency and we are looking forward to working with Mike and Mary,” said Amanda Hyronimus of the Jensen Agency. “We are two established agencies that are joining forces to continue to service our customers.”
Under the new plan, the insurance office in Alcester will remain open with Mike and Mary continuing to serve customers in the area. There will be a name change: The business will now be known as Jensen Insurance Agency, but other than that, most customers will notice little change.
“This should be a pretty seamless transition for customers of Alcester Insurance,” said Hyronimus. “Customers will continue to work with agents who know them and their needs. Joining forces with Jensen will allow additional tools and resources for Mike and Mary, such as increased technology, a broader range of insurance products, and additional support with a larger staff.”
The Jensen Insurance Agency is a fourth-generation, family owned and operated business, offering home, auto, commercial, life, health, and crop insurance.
“This is our 82nd year in business serving families, farmers, and businesses around the area,” said Hyronimus. “Alcester is now our 4th location, joining our offices in Beresford, Sioux Falls, and Elk Point. Our focus as an agency is building relationships and we have a commitment to preserve the small-town values that our agency was founded on.”
Much consideration has gone into this acquisition from both sides.
“This is an important decision for us as we want to ensure that the legacy of service that Mike and Mary have built in the community will be continued for many years to come,” said Hyronimus. “We have great faith that our agencies fit together well and we are looking forward to working with Mike and Mary and the community of Alcester.”
