Cubs Closet donates $16,000 to local groups
The Alcester Ministerial Association treated the Cubs Closet Thrift Store volunteers to a luncheon this past week. There are 22 dedicated volunteers who work approximately 3,000 hours annually sorting donations, working at the store serving customers, setting up displays, and completing various other tasks. We are thankful for volunteers from the Alcester-Hudson School and local church groups, as well.
One of the important outcomes of this luncheon is the annual donation of proceeds from sales. Due to the generous support of the community, the Cubs Closet was able to donate $16,000 to local groups and organizations within the Alcester and Hudson communities this year.
Cubs Closet is open for business on Tuesday and Wednesday from 1 until 5 pm and Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon. Look for announcements about the Christmas store opening soon, as well as weekly sales on our Facebook page.
Thank you to everyone for donating and doing business with your favorite Cubs Closet Thrift Store!
