Leilana C.: I have two New Year’s resolutions and I think I can accomplish both, hopefully, at least. My first New Year’s resolution for 2026 is to get my front tuck in gymnastics. I’ve been working on it and it’s pretty hard, but I believe that I can do it. My second New Year’s resolution for 2026 is to get closer with my sister. Yes, she can be crazy sometimes, but she will always be my sister. And these are the things I hope to accomplish in 2026. Happy New Year’s!

Reese C.: This year a bad habit I’m going to break is having a messy room. Oopsies! One thing I want to continue doing is drinking Dr. Pepper (it’s the best obviously). This year, a new sport I want to learn is how to play basketball, because I don’t know much about it. A new food I would like to try in 2026 is pomegranate, because it looks yummy. These are my 2026 New Years resolutions.

Instead of sand it was hard, hard, hard rocks and it really hurt, but at least I got what I wanted. I even got to see my friend and I made another friend. As the new year of 2026 begins, I want to play outside more, because I love playing out in the snow.

Brielle E.: This year, my 2026 New Year’s Resolution is to watch TV only three times a day because sometimes people watch TV all day. I used to watch the screen five times a day, so I want to keep my resolution. I want to spend more time with my family and cats, dogs, chickens, and horse. You think you’re spending a lot of time with your family, but you aren’t. So if you want my advice, stop watching TV all the time. My resolution is to stop watching so much TV.

Finley F.: The new year is a time for goals and one goal I have is learning how to do a backflip. There are a few more goals I have and one is playing less video games. I have one more lifetime goal I think I can achieve: I want to be a dentist or an orthodontist when I grow up and go to a decent college. If I don’t want to do that when I grow up, I will to try make it to the NFL, or at least make it to college football.

Tucker G.: My New Year’s Resolution is to get three rebounds a game in basketball! But to do that, I need to stop watching the ball and I can not be lazy on the court. Since I look up to Anthony Edwards and want to be in the NBA, this will help. This is my 2026 New Year’s resolution.

Levi G.: Looking forward to 2026, a place I what to visit is Colorado and I what to continue doing is being nice. Then a new food I want to try is shrimp. A bad habit I want to stop is drinking so much pop. This is what I want to do in 2026.

A place I would like to visit is Montana because I think it would be pretty. A new food I would like to try is Chinese food and I’m going to try and get better at talking to people. I promise I will be nice to my older and younger brothers and to NOT back talk my mom and dad. If I have time between not back talking and not being mean to my brothers, I might try and clean my room. These are the things I’m going to be better at in the year 2026.

Collins H.: A new year means a fresh start, and my goal for 2026 is to be more like my dad, David Horner. He’s all I ever want to be in a person and more, because he is a great parent and just a great human being in general. He’s constantly making me laugh or smile, motivating me to be my very best, and immediately lights up the room when he walks in. I also have to point out that he’s a master chef, and I would love to make delicious food like him one day. Of course, some of his food isn’t very good, but that’s just because I’m very picky. So thanks for reading who I’d love to become this coming year!

Kinzlea K.: This new year I am going to try to achieve my goals in 2026, like not talking back and trying new foods to see if I like them, but I am a picky eater, so that will be very hard. I also really want to go to Disneyland or Disneyworld, but it is way too expensive and probably almost like a million dollars, so I don’t think I will be able to do that even though it is still in my dreams. A bad habit I am going to break is not pushing it with friends. For example, if I would go have a sleepover with my friends and the next day I would try to hang out with them again, that would be pushing it with friends, so I will try to not to do that. These are my resolutions.

Jasmine L.: This year, my New Year’s resolution is to continue being friends with Kenzie. She has made my 2025 year so much better with her in it and I’m so glad to have her go in to 2026 with me. The new year is a great time to for a new goal just like finally getting a back walkover. I’ve been working on my back walkover a lot at home and I’m slowly but surely getting the hang of it. I feel that a great way to be alive for the new year is to keep my mom happy and that means I need to stop telling her, “No.” This 2026 season is coming around the corner and that means so are my volleyball skills. I’m ready to be really good at volleyball. This 2025 year is done and 2026 is ready too take over, but the skills I’m working on have no chance of going away with 2025.

Keaton N.: So one of my New Year’s resolutions is to get better at basketball. And I want to continue to be good at my subjects like math. A place I would like to visit is North Carolina and a skill I would like to accomplish is learning to do a backflip. A person I look up to is my dad, because he is one of the kindest people I know and he is smart and funny. Sometimes he can be a little annoying and agitating, but I still stick around. A habit I will break is not paying attention and a food I want to try is octopus because I heard that it’s good. These are my 2026 New Year’s resolution.

Paityn O.: This year, my New Year’s resolution is to not eat so much junk food, so I don’t get fat and turn into jelly. For 2026 I want to continue playing volleyball because its fun. A new sport I would like to learn is B-ball and I hope to be like Caitlyn Clark because she is the queen of basketball. A place I would like to visit is California and Florida again. I am going to try and get better at gymnastics, volleyball, softball, and basketball and I promise to love GOD forever. Those are the things I am looking forward to in 2026.

Another thing I would like to get better at is baseball. I would like to hit better. Those are my 2026 New Year’s resolutions.

Anniston S.: This year, my New Year’s resolution is to make my parents proud. I want to be a pediatric surgeon or a neurosurgeon. It’s my dream to make them proud of me. But since I’m 11, that’s not an option right now. So my simple and personal resolution right now is to keep my grades up in A’s not B’s because that’s not a option for me. As the new year begins, I hope to make my parents proud by my grades. My goal for this year is to be nice to everyone and to make them trust me. That’s my 2026 resolution!

Ella S: A goal I set for myself in 2026 this year is to try to get my back tuck. I want to continue gymnastics competitions. A person I want to be more like is Simone Biles because she had a lot of bad times, but she still tried her hardest, and she is so good, but everyone can’t be like her.
