Facials. Healing massage. Light therapy. Pregnancy massage. Deep tissue and hot stone massage.

These are just a few of the services offered by the team of professionals –Sherry Haas, Veronica Witt, Randa Bickett, and Karri Allen – now working together in the Massage by Sherry building.

Haas, a longtime massage therapist and owner of Massage by Sherry, recently added three practitioners to her team. Together, the four cover a wide range of niches and specialties. If there is an ailment or need you have, one of the specialists working at Massage by Sherry can undoubtedly address it.

Blissful Balance (Massage Therapy) – Veronica Witt

Licensed massage therapist Veronica Witt has been in business since December 2024, offering Swedish, deep tissue, prenatal, head and face massage, and leg and foot massage. She utilizes hot stone, heated bamboo, and cupping to aid her therapy.

Working out of a room at Massage by Sherry, Witt’s service offers customers a convenient location and a great, inviting space to receive services, she says.

“The office is very inviting and peaceful,” she said. “Each massage is tailored specifically to your wants and needs.”

Witt hails from an interesting background. She was born in Madrid, Spain, and raised in Texas, the daughter of an Air Force Airman and a Spanish mother raised in the Philippines. She has been in South Dakota for 21 years and now has her own family, including twin daughters, four dogs, and one cat.

Witt worked in banking for many years, beginning in 1997, but decided to move into massage therapy out of a desire to help people feel better. She has worked as a massage therapist since November 2023 and has been offering services at her room at Massage by Sherry for six months.

Witt’s availability is Monday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Tuesday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Wednesday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Thursday, 1 – 7 p.m.; and Fridays, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

“If someone needs a later appointment, I do my best to accommodate when able,” she said.

Hands of Hope Wellness Co. (Massage Therapy) – Karri Allen

Beginning March 1, Alcester resident Karri Allen will be bringing her talent and massage services to a room at Massage by Sherry as well.

“I provide high-quality massage therapy to relieve pain, reduce stress and support healing and overall well-being,” she said. “Massage therapy, for me, is more than a profession — it is a calling rooted in service and compassion. I believe deeply in the body’s God-given ability to heal and restore when given the proper care and attention. My heart is to create a peaceful, supportive environment where clients feel seen, valued, and cared for. I am passionate about helping each person not just manage discomfort but truly thrive in the bodies God has given them.”

Allen received her training from the South Dakota School of Massage Therapy in 2008 and operated her own private massage therapy practice for 10 years. She also taught massage therapy at the school for three years. In the years following the death of her 15-month-old son, she stepped away from her practice to focus on healing, caring for her family, and investing in ministry work that helps other families deal with the loss of a child.

Allen and her husband, Denny, run Healing Hope Ministries, which they started in 2016. That work continues, but Allen is excited to head back into the world of massage therapy two days a week, on Mondays and Thursdays.

Explains Allen: “After the death of our first son in 2012, we felt called to bring greater awareness and meaningful support to other families walking a similar journey. What began out of our own grief has grown into a mission to provide connection, resources, and compassionate care to those navigating unimaginable loss. It is truly an honor to serve these families and to offer them healing, hope, and a reminder that they are not alone.”

Allen is excited to join the team at Massage by Sherry.

“Sherry is truly a pillar in this community and one of the most skilled and compassionate massage therapists I’ve had the privilege of knowing,” said Allen. “She has built a practice rooted in integrity, excellence, and genuine care for her clients. I deeply admire her commitment to bringing high-quality, therapeutic healing to rural communities where those services are often limited. It is an honor to partner with her in that mission and to contribute my experience and heart for service to the work she is already doing so well.”

Allen looks forward to connecting with the community and bringing renewed perspective, life experience, and a deepened commitment to serving others through therapeutic touch, she said.

Red Light Wellness (light therapy) – Sherry Haas

In addition to offering massage therapies at her shop, Sherry Hass also offers Red Light Wellness, a non-invasive treatment of red and near-infrared light that stimulates cellular energy, which reduces inflammation, promotes healing, and boosts collagen. The Red Light Wellness room can be booked online, while massages by Sherry can be booked by calling her number: 605-760-5141 or via her website.

Unrefined Beauty (Facials) – Randa Bickett

If it’s a facial you’re after, Randa Bickett has you covered.

“I offer relaxing, natural and holistic facials,” she said. “With every facial, you not only get excellent skin care with the best products, but you will receive head, neck, shoulders, arms and best of all, the facial massage. This is for complete relaxation.”

There are health benefits to regular facials, says Bickett.

“Not only do regular facials help your skin become its best and make you glow, facial massage will help Increase blood flow and can also help diminish fine lines and prevent sagging,” she said. “Skin massage relieves tension held in the jaw and forehead for overall relaxation. Massage of the face, head and neck will also help lymphatic drainage.”

Bickett, who has two children and two fur babies and has been married for 26 years, worked as a cosmetologist for 17 years offering all services, including hair, aesthetics, manicures, pedicures, etc before joining Massage by Sherry. She has been offering her services in conjunction with Massage by Sherry since the business opened in the Subway plaza.

Bickett is open 6:30 – 9 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. To schedule an appointment, please text her at 605-759-3116 or visit her website at: https://randabickett.glossgenius.com/.
