Crist selected as South Dakota State 4-H Ambassador
At the 2025 South Dakota State Fair, Carley Crist, daughter of Michael and Annie Crist, Beresford, SD, was selected to serve as one of 13 State 4-H Ambassadors during the 2025-26 term.
Crist, a member of the Eager Beavers 4-H Club, will work as a positive role model for 4-Hers in South Dakota. Crist, along with the State Ambassadors, will strive for continued improvement of the 4-H program, and have endless opportunities to grow and expand their leadership, life, social and workforce skills.
Carley had this to say about her 4-H involvement and ambassador role. “4-H has been a huge part of my life, and being an ambassador lets me share that impact with others. I want every kid to feel the same sense of belonging I found in the 4-H program. Through these last 4 years serving as a State 4-H ambassador, I’ve had the opportunity to network with leaders and stakeholders across South Dakota, speak at events, and take on meaningful leadership roles. I’ve been able to mentor and support younger members, assist at major county and state events, and build strong connections. These experiences have strengthened my communications skills, deepened my passion for serving others, and helped me grow as a leader. One of my favorite experiences was attending the 4-H Gala, where I helped celebrate the success of South Dakota youth programs and connected with stakeholders from across the state.”
