Beresford teams take 2nd and 5th in tournament
This year, during the Jack Lawrence Memorial Tournament held June 14, Field #2 was re-dedicated in memory of Jack Lawrence (#2), who passed away in 2014 at the age of 11 as the result of an automobile accident. A special ceremony was held for the re-dedication. During the tournament, six teams battled it out, including Beresford Rosheim, which ultimately took 2nd place, and Beresford Seeley, which placed 5th. “Spirit of Jack” awards were given to one player on each team in the tournament; teammates voted on who should receive it for their team. Garret Sims (Beresford Seeley) and Easton Holter (Beresford Rosheim) were the local winners. Here are a few photos from the weekend (photos/Kayla Schurch).
