The Beresford Area 14U baseball team suffered a 10-2 loss to Sanford Sports Academy 14U Black on Sunday, June 15.
Sanford scored the first seven runs of the game. They got a run in the bottom of the first, four in the second, and two in the third. Beresford scored two times in the top of the fourth inning. Bo Eide and Stetson Lounsbery had back-to-back RBI singles to make the score 7-2. Sanford would score three more times in the bottom of the fifth for the 10-2 final score.
Eide and Lounsbery both had a single and RBI each. John Savey and Boston Jensen also had one hit apiece. Lounsbery pitched two innings and allowed five runs, four earned, on four hits and four walks with two strikeouts. Evan Rosheim pitched an inning and allowed two earned runs on four hits and a walk with one strikeout. Mason Hofer threw 1 1/3 innings and allowed three run, two of them earned, on two hits and a walk with one strikeout.
