Beresford won the Watchdog Classic Tournament they hosted May 17. This year’s event was a four-team competition, due to last minute cancellations by four teams. Last year, the tournament was played in Sioux Falls at the Sanford Diamonds because the fields in Beresford were unplayable due to weather.
It was great to be able to play this year on the new Beresford softball fields, said Coach Matt Storo. This year’s tournament included Dakota Valley, Avon, Beresford, and Centerville.
In the tournament, the Watchdogs earned wins over Avon and Dakota Valley to become the 2025 champions.
